Dandy
by Ame Dyckman A lion must overcome peer pressure and his own predatory instincts for the love of his daughter. The action starts when the lion spots that dreaded interloper—a dandelion—growing in the middle of his yard. He dashes out with his hedge clippers, but his cub, Sweetie, steps in to introduce him to her new best friend: the dandelion! Everybody says Meow by Constance Lombardo It’s really a simple instruction: Say “meow!” The leader of a group of cavorting kitties looks out at readers and declares, “Welcome to that magical time when everybody says, ‘Meow!’ ” All the kitties comply, but a pup leans in from off the page to say, “Woof.” The lead kitty patiently repeats the instruction, but the pup can say only “Woof.” Then a frog leans in, croaking, “Ribbit.” Not to be left out, a duck adds its quack to the mix. Never mind! It’s now a magical time where anyone says whatever they want! Fear the Bunny by RichardT.
